Good morning, J.R. again with the OB pier surf report from SD - Looks to be about that season of the year. I mean combo swell time, not really autumn. Air temp is 65F, water about the same. We have strong SW groundswell showing with NW windswell mixing in for clean peaky conditions. The reef on the south side of the pier is pumping out some long slowly-breaking lines in the stomach to shoulder range while the sand bar on the north side of the pier seems to be a bit faster. Crowd factor is nil. Foggy and cloudy out there but get on it!

Good morning, J.R. here with the OB pier surf report - Surf continues to fade as our SSW swell and NW swell combo eases. Knee-thigh waves and waist-high on sets. Not too much push to them either, take your longboard or wide fish out today. Crowd is mellow, about 50 heads from the pier to the jetty. Surf is supposed to be down the next few days so I might not report again until Monday... have a great weekend y'all.

Good morning from San Diego, it's J.R. with the OB pier surf report - Surf was solid throughout the day yesterday and the Pacific is still churning them out this morning. Waves are in the waist-stomach range, maybe chest-high on a rare set, but it's certainly on the fade. Winds are light and variable allowing for clean conditions. Crowd is about 15-20 thick at the pier and about 50-75 from the pier to the jetty. Not much happening on the south side of the pier. Get out there while you can!

Good morning, J.R. here with your OB pier surf report from San Diego - Light winds out of the north and a warm sunny day on tap. Waves started to come up last night and it looks like she's still holding this morning. Surf is in the waist-stomach-chest range with possibly bigger sets looming throughout the day. Better peaks and cleaner lines to be had north of the pier right now. Wait until the tide drops out a bit more and it should be fun down the cliffs too. Have a good one.

Good morning, J.R. here with the OB pier surf report in San Diego - It looks like we're still waiting on that pulse of North Pacific energy to show up. Surf is in the knee to waist range but the tide is way up on it at the moment and the only decent break to be had is up by the jetty. It's not even breaking on the south side of the pier. Couple chicks on longboards and a few beginners with rentals on the north side of the pier. I'll try for another report after the tide drops... have a beautiful day.

What's good y'all, J.R. reporting from the south side of the OB pier in San Diego. Light onshore wind and not much swell at all. It's Monday and I guess almost everybody went back to work because the lineup is empty. Get your longboard or fish out and it might be okay once the tide drops a bit more.
