f wanted to go surfing today, you should be able too. Wave height is waist to stomach. The issue is the wind. Wind direction is South to Southwest and blowing at 15 to 19 mph plus. Swell direction is ESE. This means Corolla has a side shore wind. The forecast is for unseasonable warm air temps. Corolla currently has knee cap high surf and semi choppy surface conditions. The wind is on-shore and coming in from the ESE. Corolla has a slight increase in wave height from yesterday: knee to waist. I think you will have to be selective and find the right sandbar. Swell direction is ESE and the wind is SWS. There is a slight improvement in conditions from yesterday. Wave height is only ankle slapper to knee high. However, the wind has switched and is now off-shore. Plus air temps have moved up. Sorry about missing the last two days but it has been for a good cause. CSS buyers have been looking at summer products for 2016. Winter showed up yesterday afternoon. A whether pattern moved came in from the North. Wind speed accelerated and the air temp dropped by 20 degrees Fahrenheit within 4 hours. Currently,Corolla has ankle slapper to knee high waves and the wind is currently out of the NWN. Wind chill is in the low 30’s. NOTE: COROLLA SURF SHOP WILL BE OPEN EVERYDAY UNTIL 1/2/16. Oh Yeah! Another great day of warm whether, warm water and super clean surf. I found a break yesterday on the North beach that was breaking with long lines. Today’s wave height is about thigh to waist. Corolla still has a light off-shore wind. My recommendation to look at different spots. Today’s surf conditions are a carbon copy of yesterday’s surf. Wave height is waist to almost chest and we have a light off shore wind. I just took these pictures in front of my home break. High tide was at 6:58 AM, so Corolla currently has an outgoing tide. It feels like October. I surfed yesterday in a just a 3/2mm. Go surfing today! At this posting, Corolla has waist high surf. It is a very busy day on the ocean, lots of sea life. We have mild weather conditions: air & water temps are matching each other at 57°F. We have a light wind out of the Northwest: blowing at 8 mph. This is leaving us with a smooth surface conditions. Feels like October, not December! Corolla currently has knee- to waist and an out going tide at this posting. A high pressue system is leaving us with mild air temps: currently in the high 50's.
