Yes, the sun is out, air temps are in the high 50's and the has surf cleaned up. Does this mean winter has left us???? Wave height is well over-head, semi-clean but he paddle out is going to be a challenge in a full wetsuit. H2O temps are still in the high 30's, so you will need to full the full drum set=4/3MM with boots, gloves and a hood. I'm loving' it, I'm wearing a tee shirt. NOTE: COROLLA SURF SHOP IS OPEN PS: I DID NOT SEE ANY STORM DAMAGE ON THE NORTH END OF COROLLA. OUR STAIRS TO THE BEACH ARE INTACT.
We got the "Full Monty"! The predicated Nor'easter has hit the OBX. We have an on-shore blowing at 30 mpg plus. These winds are blowing at a Gale Force speed with wind chill in the low 30's. Hide tide will be a couple of minutes & I'll keep you posted if I see any damaged to any stairs. The pictures tell the story: GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Good morning. The surf is basically flat. There is a ankle to shin high wave that comes through ever so often. The wind is blowing out of the NNE at 8-10 mph and the air temperature is 42 degrees. Low tide was at 1:40 this morning and high tide is at 3:01 this afternoon. It doesn't look like the surf will build today but we will keep our eyes on just in case something changes. If you want surf this weekend check out the East coast. They have a nice swell this Saturday and Sunday. Have a great Friday and we will give you another surf report at midday.
Good afternoon! It is a gray day out here on Pensacola Beach. Who cares because we have surf!! It is still hip to waist high! The winds are out of the NNE at 5-7 mph causing for these offshore conditions. It is supposed to be up ALL DAY!! So go surf!! And surf some for me because I am too busy to get out there! Nooooooo! But really, just go surf!!
