We the south end of WB yesterday, super fun waves. About 30 min later someone turned the wave machine switch and it went flat. So I left and of course my buddy who stayed behind said as soon as I left it got better. Jellies were out in droves too - pieces were all over the beach.
yea there was a point where it went flat for a bit, but then the sets kept rolling in again - with diminishing consistency. either way it was a beautiful day of chest high waves, low wind and shining sun! i surfed my brains out and im still pumped a day later. the jellies were even worse tues and wednesday. it sucked duckdiving your face into headhigh walls of jelly, but worth it
surf i agree, it was an awesome day with good weather. i'm thankful for a job that lets me get off when there are waves. we don't get too many days like that too. last couple of times i've driven down to WB i got skunked.
surfed it 1:30-3:00. was in black oneill wetsuit with blue arms. then moved wayyy further down south. killa
I was further South as well on Thurs. Earlier in the week it was really macking at our South-facing beaches--wayyyy better than anything WB saw. Best week of surf all year
I was wondering if O.I. or other spots further down south held up during this swell. I paddled just south of WB and it was absolutely macking Sat-Wed. Stand-up greenroom barreling peaks everywhere! #surfedout
im interested in how the south facers actually were. i was looking to go to ei or oi/hb, but none of the reports or cams had anything over waist high due to swell direction while wb had size but with non-cooperative winds. anyone go?
It was good in those areas Sat-Tues. Howling offshore. I heard EI up to Shak got some pretty solid swell later in the week, but didn't make it up there
