I am looking at getting a new wetsuit for this spring and fall. I am trying to decide between a Quicksilver Cypher 3/2 or a Billabong Foil 4/3, both are chest zip. I would like to know if anyone could give some advice on their experience with these suits in terms of warmth and durablility. Beside the obvious fact of the difference in the thickness, does the higher quality materials of the Cypher trump the thickness of the Foil. Both suits fit great and I can get them for the same end of season price. I am 14 I don't expect either suit to fit past next winter. Thanks for the help.

I have a Quik Cypher 3/2. (Slaters Suit) in a size medium If you want it. I have to many suits. You can have it for $100. I wore it 3, 4 times at most this fall.
For right now? I wouldn't. Unless you live in VA and south. You can pull it if the air is warm cause in OCNJ our water is hovering around 52ish˚ The Cypher 3/2 works from 57 -60s i would go. Thats just me and don't have a not of body fat on me.
go with the oniel mutant 4/3 it comes with a removeable hood. super comfortable and warm. i usually where it until the end of december in mass. this winnter has been so mild ive worn it all winter. hands down the best suit ive owned.
NJ! - thanks for the offer, but I'm size small. I'm looking at these to fill the gap between my 5/4 and the summer months. I have seen several endorsements for the mutant but based on past experience, O'Neil's don't fit me as well as these.
Cant help you with the Cypher but the Billabong Foil 4/3 is a good suit. Ive surfed it in 43 degree water and 20* outside temp and was good for a 3 hour session. I use the SGX model now and love it. If you get the regular foil just make sure it's 100% stretch. If you can spare the cash the SGX is a great suit to have. Lowest the water got in my area this year was 49 and I wore my 3/2 SGX all winter since it was so mild. My 4/3 Foil is 3 years old and has minimal wear. I dont work during the winter and go out every day there is surf. Very Durable suits.
hyperflex, i can buy 4 suits for the price of 1 and have never had a bad suit, the only problem i ever had they fixed it for free, in about 5 days.
anyone have a flash bomb? love the bomb, just wondering if the flash really dries that fast. a dry suit in the early mooring would be nice..
From what i hear, all of the good Rip Curl suits (e-bomb, e-bomb pro, f-bomb) are using limestone based neoprene that dries so quickly your 3/2 or 4/3 would dry out completely overnight if you hang it up.
My 5/5 is close to dry next day, was just thinking double sessions and smelly truck if i hang it there while working...
