If you were surfing around 27th Street in Ocean City, MD this morning and drove/walked/biked off without your board, it is in good hands.

Hit me back if you're missing one.

Meanwhile, someone that was surfing around 27th street in Ocean City, MD who spent nearly two hours battling some epic diarreah in a public restroom triumphantly emerged to find their board had been stolen.

And that guy was having a (wait for it) crappy day...

On the bright side, it looks like the owner has been found. Good group here at 27th. The owner asked around and somebody who knew somebody pointed him in the right direction.

I am a firm believer in karma. I hope the next time I get abducted by aliens, someone holds my board until I get back.

How do people constantly "lose" boards?

How scatterbrained do you have to be to forget your board?

Maybe he pulled an Emass and brought his entire 30 board quiver with him

I don't get it either. Sometimes I'll bring multiple boards so I have options but NEVER have I ever even came remotely close to leaving one behind. It just wouldn't happen.

Now I could see how one could get stolen if someone thought it was left there because nobody is around it when they walk by, and in that situation I would hope the person doing a "good deed" knows 100% that it was left behind, because if I came out of the water to see my board gone, I'd be hunting...

I had a buddy who was trying to act cool around this girl after we were done surfing and when we loaded up in his car to leave he forgot to load his board. However, he didn't drive off without it he ran over the nose and like 1/4 of the way down the board. I felt bad for him but I had to make fun of him for why he it happened, he was pretty embarrassed.

So there are ways that it can be left behind.

Hush up. Damn, man, talk about your Jersey breaks & leave it at that. To answer your question, no, it's bad out there & you just got lucky. Have a safe journey home.

i have lost one of my favorite boards on some dumb sh**. Parked about 1.5 blocks from the OB pier in front of Winston's on bacon on. Put my fish on the sidewalk, was beat after a few hours of surfing. Took my time, loaded up my gear. I had two other boards in the back that day, so my board was actually out of my view. Got a phone call, took it. hopped in, drove away. Got to my house about a mile down from that beach and realized before I even parked. Uturned, ran back down, asked everyone in the barbershop, the bums across the street by the liquor store... Gone... In less that 5 minutes. Sucks bad, but that was an idoit move on me. Surfed thousands of time in that same neighborhood, never did anything stupid like that... But it happens. Well, this was circa 2003, so I may have indulged in some of california's finest before the session, but that is no excuse. Shame on me.

MD Assateague's sandbars are not great right now. Lack of waves has gently pushed all the sand to the water line. Usually a trough then outside sandbar. We just need some swell to move some sand around.

and lol to the guy who is trying to keep Assateague Island a secret spot. The place was crawling with soft top boards this weekend. Just need some swell to keep the crowds out of the water.

Agree - weak break and crowded. By the way, are you the same Ciurca that used to post on the old Malibus forum?
