where are they pumping? how bad is it? where haven't they pumped yet? where are they about to start pumping? pictures before and after? are there any waves left where they pumped? Many of my favorites spots in monmouth county are still good but in the month ive been home from school ive seen several more pipelines being established on the beaches. I decided to look online to see where specifically they are pumping and im having trouble finding that out. Based on the NJDEP coastal engineering page, they arent explaining much. Does anyone know which beaches they are actually going to fill with sand and which ones they just expect the sand to flow and fill in by longshore drift. In Long Branch from Pier Village North to Seaview Avenue, South side of 7 Presidents, the beach is completely filled in and the jetties are covered entirely. The water line is about 30 to 40 yards further out than usual. This recent swell moved alot of sand north into 7 Presidents and has really made a mess of those breaks. A pipe was pulled up in between Asbury Park and Ocean Grove and several hundred yards of pipe are stacked in the dirt parking lot on the north side of Asbury Park by Loch Arbor.
Who cares ? The unoccupied, vacation homes of millionaires are protected. That's all that matters. The 1 billion being used is no object for the government when using it to coddle a$$holes that already have millions (poor babies). Remember the bank bail outs? Tbtf............yeah yeah, f*ck you too gov, thanks for trashing the planet also, kooks. Meanwhile, 25% of the US homeless population are veterans and VA hospitals are a f*cking joke. The government rather piss $1,000,000,000 straight into the wind then reciprocate the favor to those who volunteered their lives in the name of Americans (all of them, not only rich people, you scum of the earth government mother f*ckers). Amazing. Clowns used to be something associated with a circus, now they run our country.
couldnt have said it better man. have our problems down here in cape may county too. we protect the rich PA kooks homes and dredge our breaks to support their 9 yr old little brats while they boogie board during their week vacation. "my family comes here every year for one week, this is our beach."
Monmouth county is completely replenished,u have to walk a quarter mile just to see the water.jettys are buried, waves are gone, but a sandbar pops up every few miles from recent storms.i don't venture much into ocean county, not my territory but yea Monmouth is fukd.theres still waves, just very shytty
I heard that they are not going to fill 16th ave in Belmar,NJ. Everywhere else is in the process of being filled... Belmar is going to be the only place left once they are done, thanks fully they have the artificial reef there too! #onlybreakleftBelmarNj
My favorite spot is really ruined because of that. Water starts at the beginning of the jetty now way further out then before and the sandbar is all screwed up. It was because they think sandy made the beaches smaller/shorter so that was the county's way of replenishing it. Mother Nature will probably just bring it back eventually.Seven prez is good still in my opinion I've been surfing there a lot more now.
