Just curious if y'all have or collect any cool surf or beach art? I just picked this killer seahorse up the other day. While setting him out I noticed I've got a decent little collection going. My brother has a friend that frames cut-outs of old boards. Super original and they turn out sick as hell. I want him to do my first board.

My wife collects mermaids..all types...sculptures, needlepoint, watercolors, Lefkins, wood, etc.

I really like the old Rick Griffen posters. They captured a time and a place and a feeling.

Once, for Surfrider Foundation, we organized a show of local artists, called Liquid Gallery. It was a huge hit, everyone bought lots of stuff from the artists, lots of money was donated to the chapter for water testing (Blue Water Task Force), bands raged. We made some waves! It was a lot of work, that's why no one around here has done it lately.

Tortuga...Honu...art/scultures are rad. One of my favorite things ever is when a large (or small) sea turtle pops up while you are waiting for a set or on the inside after a good wave.

My wife and I paint, do stained glass, re-purpose all sorts of furniture, old windows, pretty much live a second life in dumpsters... great stuff in dumpsters... Our little beach place is all surf/beach art; every outlet and switch cover has some type of beach art painted on it. The trick is not going overboard... We may have... lol

Same thing here with all the seashells we've collected over the years. Give my wife a glue gun, and we end up with shells affixed to practically any non-moving object in and outside of our house! Well, maybe just a little exaggeration.

I draw pictures in the sand for the purpose of startling and entertaining passers by.
