I've been surfing east coast on/off for 20 yrs but have never had an opportunity at D-OH especially at WB. What's the concensus, if it is fairly clean will it really be ridable at this height? Will WB hold this size?

wrightsville will be closed out...you have options around that will hold the size but i'm not sure about the period, try those spots you've always wanted to but have needed a longer period

ya, many breaks aren't going to handle the long periods very well. Going to have think a little differently on this swell. Some of the breaks that you would never think of going to will be the places to go...

    The more protected, the better.

The cool thing about this kind of swell is, if you use your noggin you could end up having an awesome session and very little crowd. Most of the tea-bags heading to town for the swell are going to be going straight to the "cool" breaks. Think outside of the bun. Oh yeah, and if you do find somewhere off the beaten path, don't come on here and tell where you had an epic session - keep it to yourself for the next "50 year storm.":)

    What?

Forget that island across the inlet, forget too many people to see street. Head 100 miles out into the ocean straight off Wrightsville around Atlantic Street. There is a reef out there that should be breaking at least 80 feet!
