trucks and pipelines are on the beach, and beach access has been roped off. unreal, that's a great beach. i hope this replenishment doesn't screw it up too bad, but doesn't look good...hopefully i'm wrong http://thesurfersview.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=109&Itemid=91 .
checked the 7thstreetsurfshop cam and it looks a little farther out, but where is the cam in the link you showed. i always wondered lol
the replenishment in this part of OC must have reached this spot last week, because i was there on friday 2/12..
burning a spot that's on a cam? lol right. it was mostly outta curiosity cause im always charging 7-8th jetty if i go to OC
OC was one of the hardest hit. I never seen OC beach change that much in over 20 years. The beach at E Surf Rd lost like 10' of sand or at least thats what looked like was missing at the drop off at the steps. And a lot of rocks and jetty showing that was buried for a long time at 7th st. I think OC was hit harder than Sea Isle, Avalon, & Stone Harbor.
They only have Pumped sand from Sea Spray to 2nd st. Some good bars but not there. 7th Hasn't been good since 2005 and the wings at 5th and 8th come out each winter. And if you wanna score something there is a few good bars in the mid island area. All the sand they pumped is washing to the middle of the island and has set up some sick bars.
I havent surfed at Waverly in a while I hope the repelishment make is break like it did 4 years ago. I use to get the longest Rides there. It reminded me of The Cove . Its the only time I would get board standing there perched on the nose
that cam is over on 1st street. my buddy called me up, and told me he was down there today, and they were working on it. thats a great spot though. if you look at that cam on any day that the swell is just mildly decent you will see people out there. whereas you don't see as many people at the other spots or as frequently. thats a great site though. those cams beat surflines. hey one thing though i was curious about. where in beach haven is the spot where the cam is there? it's so hard to tell cause a lot of the beaches over there look similar. i have always wondered. i mean wherever it is i may have even surfed it before. i know most of the breaks in lbi, holyoke, down by holgate, etc. but i can't put my finger on where that is. whenever i look at that cam though i very rarely see anyone out there. it's very rare. it's gotta be going off exceptionally good to catch anyone on the beach haven cam.
