Finally. I sent out thosands of applications and finally I got sponsored and I have proof: Monster Energy drink sponsored me! Thanks to sponsorhouse and everyone who has supported me in Jersey
Online sponsorship is a joke. It means nothing. The only true sponsorships start out with a core surfshop then the owner hooking you up with companies he sells in his stores.
No offense to OBX, but this is the only way I ever knew of it. You build relationships and you earn your sponsorship.
I've been trying to get picked up by the number one surf company called Hollister but they told me that they only sponsor the top pros.
Here're the big questions, and please answer honestly and completely. 1. What does Monster give you? 2. What do you have to do for Monster?
Anyone trying to get sponsored by Hollister can keep dreaming. I tried persistently from age 14-19 and was told that they were holding out for guys like Kalani Robb. I gave up my dreams and now, at 28, I am way too old to represent their core brand.
Sounds like the way I'm sponsored by the guy who built my house. I paid him a sh*t load of money and I get to put his sign on my lawn .
Loop'd Hookit Sponsor house or what ever it wants to call itself now isnt a real sponsor. All that site is for is to Companies to collect info on what the market unit ( customers) is interested in and exploit it . If you wanna get a real sponsor do some local contest whether they be ESA or NSSA even memorial contest like the Nuns Beach contest or the Brendan Borek are a good way to get your foot in the door with a local shop. If a shop see you loyal to them and they see you are commited to surfing and conduct yourself in a manner that wouldnt embrass them any local shop would sponsor you .
