why the hell were there a million shoobies in ocnj today? seriously, main spots were CROWDED. I realize that its the weekend, but the waters still cold, its cloudy and onshore. WTF!

Was there like a wetsuit sale at 7th Street Surf Shop that I didn't hear about?
Was this swell forecasted on CBS3 or something?
Maybe another one of those CI demos?

I overheard someone say wowwww its firing! NO IT WASN'T! It was waist-chest high and onshore.

If you're from PA, please just stay out of the way until May 31st. Then you can do whatever you want cause you're a rad surfer bro that "surfs". Hey just so you guys know....I surf. Yeah its epic dude, head high curls. 2ft and onshore get barreled brah

I am not sure why, but I will respond to this post. First of all, there was no wind at all until about 11am this morning. I am from PA and there is a reason I don't surf in OCNJ, because of people like you that think you live in a special place, you don't. get over yourself and move to a shore point with less people. I was only a 20 minute drive from you and I surfed late saturday and sunday and the only people I saw were walking on the boards or beach.

yeah quit b*tching dude, i don't really think many people care. even if there are people who agree with you they aren't going to say anything because this is the most worn out topic in Mid-Atlantic discussion that nobody even cares enough to respond affirmatively. everyone on here has spoken with another person about this before, gotten there thoughts out and moved on because you could sit there, wherever you are, and tap away at your computer all you want, but no amount of words you throw up on this site or anywhere, for that matter, is going to change anything at all. and besides, how do you think states like New Jersey or Maryland or Virginia make revenue? a major source is tourism, so many people living near you who arent gung-ho "locals only" will be mildly appreciative of the presence of these people you speak of. so what if a dude from PA wants to surf "your spot?" they're looking for a good time like everyone who grabs their board and goes on whatever given day. and we live in f*cking New Jersey, the place where possessive pronouns don't exist before the word spot when referring to surfing or beaches... shut up, please.

but seriously...it was a beautiful weekend & there was some swell forecasted. this sort of thing happens more & more as the weather improves. no use *****ing about it, just accept it & live your life.

    truf

VB was abnormally crowded yesterday also. I surfed the same waves as everyone else but alone with my mates a few miles away. If you surf in a crowd, thats on you. Sorry man, sad but true.

BUT it is funny that the inlanders and tourists get all agro at the first sign of localism. Good. Im that glad localism bothers you, its there to keep you in check. I expect to receive it when traveling. At crowded spots its good for everyone. I dont want you sitting in front of me when im surfing any more than you want me using your tree stand.

On Delmarva that statement pretty much means you are a local in the water.
