Haven't been around these parts in a hot minute, but you cats really need to fire up the hype train again. Yeah, it's early, but still July 4th and no one's shott piers in an EC cane above the south yet.

My attention to EC surf reports at all since early February have been minimal since I've not spent a ton of time out east since then, but seems as if it's been very low on stoke for a while.

You guys think there will be 8 named storms as predicted and 3 canes? Wouldn't mind some epic sessions like during Bertha and Cristobal. Those were end of July and end of August if I recall, so we really aren't behind in any sense. Would just be nice to get on something real fun soon.

I predict 2 tropical storms early to mid august with waves to chest to head high range.at the end of august there will be 3 tropical depressions, none of them forming into anything special.then mid September,i predict between the 14th-20th,we will get a decent cat 2 cane swell, along with late September we will have a cat 1,and early October a possible cat 3.mark my words lol

This is n El Nino year--not conducive to hurricanes.
    Sorry, that is NOAA says...

This is the warmest spring and early Summer in Florida than I remember. Although the ocean cooled a bit this week, it was a month ahead of itself April through June. Those conditions make it feel like a system could more easily develop. But NOAA talks about El Nino causing powerful wind shear, so, let's just see how it plays out.

Yeah man, only about 500 (no exaggeration) other surfers throughout the lineup. Obviously I wasn't expecting to get many waves but there was swell so I'm happy.

    Spicoli, I'm at a loss.

Yeah, some kid leaving for Jersey to Florida...whatever.

Some dude moving from OCMD to California....ok.

But such a yankee, Massachusetts son disembarking for the west side just ain't right.

Spicoli, it's ok, you probably won't get another winter like 2014-15 for another 50 years..or 5.

Don't go east coast AWOL just because of one winter.

You don't even do drugs so why would you move to San Francisco?

    Bruh, the following:
    1. No waves on the EC. And I live on it. I'd know. 1-2x a week is necessary. Not always possible on EC.
    2. Temps, humidity and precipitation. I can survive anything I choose to. I just don't choose madness anymore.
    3. Economy. There are plenty on here who will talk macro-level and say how CA is a money pit. You haven't seen people spend money until you take a drive on 680 and go through some of those towns.
    4. Acceptance of stoke. Bro, I can't surf the streets in MA for 5 mins without being yelled at/beeped at/swerved at. Out west, it's applauded when you're active and doing so in style and self-expression.
    5. Row-ads. Thought I knew what potholes were until coming back to MA in April after the snow melted.
    6. Wahines. I'm reassigning the Southern Scale to the Cascadia Scale. Gene pool in NorCal/PNW is phenomenal.
    7. Disposition. Had enough of people being miserable every day. I like happy people.
    8. Board prices. CL in NE and CL in CA are no contest.
    9. Landscape. The NE has some sights. The WC has some wonders of the geological world. Everywhere.
    10. Change is good.

    Wonders of the world?

Yeah those wonders include mudslides, earthquakes, raging brush fires, Watts riots, flooding(Za Gaffer is still puzzled as to what was dropping from the sky last week).......

Nor Cal women are hairy and butch.

Disposition: Aw come on we keep it real out here. Life ain't all unicorns and rainbows. Those people out west are happy because they are high.

Isn't being a rebel kind of cool as you skate down Beacon Hill?

Spicoli the last snow mounds just melted last weekend in Boston. A reporter commented on the amount of needles in the refuse......

San Fran dope sucks, it's like an average of 12% pure. We do up to 85% out here. I mean come on....Southie probably never bottoms 40%.

Ahh in a bit, after the initial thrill wears-off you'll tell them out there aboot how Mass is better. They all do eventually.

Wave quality? You've only been surfing for two years, man. You don't need a secret PNW reef yet. Go to The Wall for a few years. Make friends with Blue Barry.

Well at least we have water, Spicoli. And petrol is much mo' cheap here in Jersey, at least. You should move to New Jersey. It's shaped just like California.

    Native Californians despise you Joads.......

Just don't come crying to us when you're dying of dehydration and there's no nutrients left in your soil to grow anything. If California is so awesome, I'm sure you'll figure something out on your own.

Or maybe it'll all just collapse into the ocean once you start getting some rain.

Yeah Spicoli's big on hydration as it goes with his healthy life style or something...

You don't have any water out there, Spicoli. Unless you live in a rich zip code or have a farm. But it's running out.

California should put a sign on their borders: CLOSED - Go back home.

Not the illegals just the legals. Mexicans don't need water. They just need Modelo and they're fine.
