Today was the Andy Irons memorial service and paddle out in Huntington Beach and Hawaii. I live in New York City so I was not able to attend. I did however have an opportunity to shoot pictures of Andy in Hawaii and Australia over the last few years for a book project that I'm working on. When I heard the news of his death, I wanted to show friends and family from Hawaii that Andy was being remembered in New York City. Here are some photos from a memorial that I put up in lower Manhattan the night he passed away. I tried to chose photos that best showcased his amazing energy.
