One cold February day I was wondering to myself what I could do to make my face not feel like it was freezing off. Then I remembered a product called Warm Skin that football and other players wear to stay warmer.

For instance, in the cold football games, the guys with no sleeves on put this on their arms, and the coaches put this on their face. It creates a barrier on your skin that holds in body heat.

Has anyone every tried using this on their face surfing? Is it waterproof?
I may get a tube and try it out next year.

There are a few good products out there. Your best bet is to either contact your local holistic medicine house or a dermatologist for the right product for you. I am sure wit all the knowledgeable surfers here in this forum you will get some good or funny advice.

Or pre-heat your head in a bucket of hot water, it will likely do as much.

petroleum based lubricants like vaseline destroy neoprene and sometimes actually void the warranty on a wetsuit if used with one

That does not warm your face, just keeps it from getting frost bitten.
