Was it just me or was it fairly big with a brutal paddle out?

    Zippy-
That swell just built out of nowhere his afternoon. we surfed assateague for a while and gave up on it - way too much water moving around...then into town and surfed some solid waves from 4-6 p.m.
Head high and powerful. Outside sets, good session for practicing duck diving and steep drops.

Super fun in south jersey. Waist to head with occasional +... Got caught inside on initial paddle out. 10 duck dives later and I hadn't moved. After that had a ball. Long lined up rights. Def under called and as a result uncrowded. But I'm not complaining!!!

knee high at 3pm in OCNJ. Went in, put my suit on, yadda yadda, paddled out at 4pm and it was solid waist high but with junky winds. At 5pm the winds started blowing off shore and it cleaned up nice as it continued to grow in size. It probably has more to do with being out of shape after being sick but paddling out today, and even that junky swell on monday, was pretty rough.

    Mitchell,

I wish I knew you were down there I would have met up with you, did you get my call? I surfed in town between 4pm and 6:30pm. I never got rejected but was caught inside a few times and it was like paddling on a conveyor belt. I only caught 5 waves with 2 of them being really good the other 3 jacked straight up and dumped on me. The bottom was just dropping out of the set waves, it was freaking me out, lol.
