So it seems a lot of surfers/bodyboarders wear what look like unpadded bike shorts, yet all I see advertised and in stores are loose-fitting board shorts. And for women, I see just smaller versions of the board shorts, but they're still loose. When it's warm enough to ditch my summer wetsuit, I'll wear a bikini bottom with a rash guard, but if I get hit by a few good waves paddling out, well, it kinda falls off my ass. Yeah, yeah, I know, what's the problem?? So I can wear a one-piece if I want. But I don't even see a women's apparel company like Roxy making what I'm looking for. Anybody know where to find board shorts for women that won't fall off?
Time out... A) Women should not be allowed to wear clothing below the belt line, or above it. B) Since women are allowed to wear clothing, and are actually required to do so by some bizarre law, it should be the type of clothing that falls off easily like the board shorts our vegan friend is describing. C) Getting worked so hard your pantaloons come off is something to be proud of. No shame in walking in to shore in the nude. D) Where is this strange warm water you speak of. I only trunked it once NH this year, and that was after a few beers and a pizza. I know the RI boys get overheated in July and early August in wetties, but north of Boston is Snow Job's realm.
Immediately recognized Snow Job is an obscure reference. He was the arctic specialist from GI Joe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_Job_(G.I._Joe) For a more accurate description: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnfiEIYsOYk
Have you been fantasizing about me again, mtwitz?!? Stalking me, trolling me, you a serious candidate for TOTY14. I'm proud of you, and yes, you have my vote for Troll of the Year. If you don't win, you haven't sucked up to spicoli's nutsack enough. When is your next poseur post about reading wind speed from the buoys? As well as how core you are?
Try a few pieces on from the mtwitz collection. Rumor has it that he is a stocking dealer, with the only problem being the random sticky stain here & there. All gross kidding aside, the chicas that I know in CR, including most of the hot female surf instructors who rip, are rockin' a brand named seea, designed by an Aussie babe: http://www.theseea.com/ BTW, gents, great place for gifts for the surfer/sponger chica in your life. Back to our regularly scheduled programming: mtwitz wouldn't know about this because he's living on a dude ranch & doesn't like the opposite sex.
But seriously, it is not whether you are "riding up" down there. It seems like board shorts would significantly increase your traction on the board. I honestly suggest wearing a pair of men 's B.V.D.s underneath.
I wear men's board shorts. The ones they make for women are stupid. They're way too short, and just are ridiculous for surfing,
In the spirit of MATT JOHNSON, I think Hyperflex has what you want: http://hyperflexusa.com/categories/womens-bottoms/
I bought pair of these bikini boardies from volcom to wear under my wettie so I'd have more coverage while trying to take it off. They're pretty awesome but I never ended up wearing them because I like to match my bikinis. I have them in hot pink size small - lmk if you're interested
Like I mentioned, Stankee is interested.... and pink.... he must be tripping over his gentle self to get a note to you!!!
If interested, that would be called a PM, asswipe. You know, that weird shiiiite that you've been sending me the past few weeks. Sorry, wack job, but I won't respond to your PM lunacy. It's ok, mtwitz, your fascination with me continues. I hope that you've completed your wknd assignment of perusing every single one of my posts. As my latest freaky stalker troll you do understand that a certain level of commitment goes along with membership in the troll posse that worships me. Check in with chuck-boo-boo, clemmie & that other efftard the gnome for pointers. And don't forget your complete package of fruitcake-dom, waynetheinsaaaane, for your ultimate guidance on red ball mouf tethers & windowless white vans of duct tape and doom.
Wtf is going on here I leave for a while and now we are talking about matching Bakinis and women's stuff. I disapprove unless y'all start a who looks better in Bakinis judged by us. Begin please.
Word has it that waynetheinsaaaane is lookin pretty tight in his yellow speedos & red mouf tether in the Jax jail. Apparently, FLA CPS finally caught up to him. Where ya be, Blasters?
I have a pair of Athleta board shorts that work just fine. They're short but stay on around my hips and don't hike up. Of all the women's brands, these are the only ones that have worked. I've never tried men's board shorts. You might want to check out some of the pro women surfer web pages. Maybe you'll get some ideas. Good luck
