We've added the Daytona Beach Surf Camera to Swellinfo. This is hosted by Perry's Ocean Edge Resort.

Its a zoomed out quite a bit, but not a bad cam.

A link to the cam will show up on all North Florida surf forecast pages in the surf report section.

We were just in Daytona last week at the Aku Tiki Inn. The water is a beautiful blue green out where it is deep, when it comes onto the beach it is sandy and then clears up as it runs back to the ocean. Lots to do at Daytona Beach rentals they have a new dog racing track, the Speedway tour, you may drive and park on parts of the beach .

cams suck--they are the reason, amongst others, for crowds.
    We should kill the owners.

    (BTW, I am being cynical)

Go before dawn, early bird still catches the good glass but yea cameras and swellinfo, surfline, and the rest have all changed the way people go to the beach ,used to it now ,first thing i do in morning is start checkin reports and cams and then plan my day if theres no surf instead of driving down and looking .sometimes i still just go dont check any cams reports .back in old days we used to check newspaper weather page or call surf shop finally they put a recorded surf report on phone but around 4 pm when we gettin off work 20000 people would call that one #. My tactic was to use redial button over and over til i got picked up

If surfline has "Fair to good" on a report, the lineup is clogged - even if it really isn't good.

Then you get the days that forecast "poor to fair" and even "poor" that end up being all time with no one out.
