    Funds go to beach preservation? I think that might be worthy.Have to check into it when the new plate is due.

    I'd like to get one but I kinda want to have it personalized. Haven't come up with anything I like that isn't already taken. And you're limited to five characters so that cuts down the options even more.

    I'm pretty sure it's a Florida thing. North Carolina has the Buddy plate. Check it

    I do think the Florida tag is nicer looking than the NC or VA ones:

    I wonder how much of the funds are just a money grab for the states and how much goes to help the cause?
    Seems like your better off just donating$ although the plates are sweet looking.

    I just looked up the VA surfrider plates on the DMV site and there is no mention of any funds going to the organization. I guess awareness is the only benefit of having the plates. That and letting thieves know which car is most likely to have an owner that left everything of value in the car since he is out surfing.

    NJ has the 'Endless Shredmachine' plates for sale. I believe it goes "22' BRAH" ....
