I've seen in a few surf shops where they have the boards hanging by their tails from something like a closet rod. Anyone do something like this at home? Anyone have any details on how the boards are attached to the rod?

plastic hook that goes into the rear fin plug.

never used it personally, but my buddy stores his boards in his garage w/ this system. seems to work well for him. seems like a PITA to have to remove the center fin all the time IMO.

that just looks like a ding begging to happen (and a pain to remove to boot)

What happens if there's a breeze or the dog bounces by? Seems like the board would have a lot of room to twirl around = ding city. What do I know.
