FYI, while I don't shop at Ocean, nor do I like that shop, they are doing a damn good job at keeping the surf report updated. It is nice to have a live cam at the Washout, and not just at the Pier. Now if we could get a cam at a certain nice spot on IOP, I would be ecstatic.

Yeah man, that Carolina Coastal Surf Club cam is slow too. I can barely make out anything when it is below waist high. Also agree on the swell thing. I am going to just hope for clean thigh to waist tomorrow.

Yeah me too. Had morning meeting and got skunked by a quite rain storm when I was trying to go out. Look decent out right about now, but I have a heavy work load. Looking like waist high today and tomorrow down here. Better than nothing.

I am leaving work in 20 min and heading out. It is choppy and drifty, but I think there could be a couple clean waist high faces out there. I will take what I can get.

Hey man, better than nothing you know. I will take any kind of ridable wave this day in age. All in all, at least down where Brew and I are, you got get it while you can.

In the couple years I have been here, the summers at least provide waist high waves on a consistent basis. While we get some good fall and winter swells, if there is not a real swell event in the water, it stays sheet glass, lake style.

I have clocked more water time in the summers here than any months. Nothing epic, but if it's waist high most days, with the occasional chest high and a few tropical storms mixed in, man, I will take it.

di**ing around on the Long Board in 85 degree water is better than sitting at home at the pool for sure.

Zach, Mr. World B surfs my island, so he knows the pains SC surfers are suffering. Last summer, my Egg got plenty of water time, but this year I am having to go for the LB. :(

It is interesting that Ocean calls for chop and side shore current today, while CCSC calls for clean. I can tell you here at the IOP connector, the wind is about 0mph. The cam at folly looks a bit choppier. It would be strange if they got much more wind than us, since it is so close. However, it has happened like that before.

IOP was great. My sandbar was giving clean waist high stuff until high tide. After that, there were some long thigh high waves to be had. Looks like IOP will be clean again today, but we are about to get nailed with storms.
