why on earth would we want the surfing beaches to open up.. all that means is that the whole beach is shut down

I think you mean the beaches close in one month. I don't know where you've been, but we surf all year here anytime except in the summer season.

I'm with pretty much the exact opposite of what the first post in this thread said.

I can and I can't wait for september/october. Warm water, no crowds, good waves (usually). I just don't want summer to fly by to get there.

sep/oct usually offer promise, but we have been incredibly blessed with the recent winter/spring season. One of the best cold season's I can remember.

im with ya on the warm water. I dont think anyone prefers wetsuits. But I avoid OCMD at all costs from mem-labor day. Its way too crowded. If i do go, its a dp session and even then on a crappy day its crowded.

    i love my wetsuit
i wear it well into july, until its too hot to even walk from the parking lot to the water in it without fainting
i take my showers in it
i dont surf unless i have my suit on
I hate surfing in boardshort more than anything

yeah it is exciting. not being able to surf where/when you want. having every fat pennsylvanian buying a 5 dollar boogie board at sunsations. then seeing them mastering the incredibly challanging art of bodyboarding in a few hours. looking forward to it almost as much as the traffic and senior week.

I am with you on that!! As much as I love warm water, surfing in a wetsuit isn't a big deal at all. Amen, for cold water and no crowds!!!!

Why the hell would you want the summer. All of the dam torist come and they think they own the beach. It takes me two times as long to get to places. The waves suck, and even if there are some rideable waves all of the torist are in the water getting in your way. That is why I am dedicating my summer to a video where me and all of my friends do anything we can to get back at the torist. Mostly run them over in the ocean. HAHAHA
