Hi all. been lurking for a while and finally thought i'd post. I've surfed intermittently over the past 15 yrs but can never improve due to living in the dc area where consistent waves aren't accessible. I'm looking for a 3-5 day trip at a surf camp for adults (i'm 46 yrs old). My 13 yr old son might accompany me as well. I'm looking for somewhere ideally on the east coast with warm water that has a quality camp and reliable waves. I am willing to go to the west coast if needed. i can go anytime of the year although the sooner the better. Fall would be great. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. The info on the internet is so vast it's hard to sift thru. Thanks.

Edit: Now that I think about it. Puerto rico might be the way to go. Any recs for there would be appreciated as well. I'll post in the PR forum.

Wow that's a very broad thing to ask about. But first I will need to see a hello tread, pictures of the wife/daughter and then maybe I'll find something out

pr is a good choice in the fall. contact bobby at mar Azul in Rincon for a decent place to stay and also board rental. he can hook you up with ramse morales for instruction. there ya go you are now dialed in

Gee bagus, you forgot to tell him about the spat of bull shark encounters there recently. What are you trying to do....feed him to the sharks???

If you & your kid want to learn properly, there's only one place to go:
    www.surfsimply.com

Other than that, you're wasting your money & time. And if you have really been lurking here on SI Forum, reading posts, then you'd friggin know that. Now get yourself gone, jackass.
