One of my favourite boards is a 5'6" twin fin, wide point back, mini Simmons. It's great in most conditions, but I have this nagging feeling that the tail doesn't _have to be_ quite that wide. It would make sense to start from scratch and make a fish, but it's a lot safer for me to start with this design I know so well, and just make the minimum viable tweaks to the tail to achieve what I'm interested in, which is a tail that can handle a slightly wider range of conditions, but with Conservative, minimal changes. The tails I'm interested in are the Sweet Potato, McCoy Astron Zot or Trinity. Does this sound like a decent plan or a recipe for wasted foam?
