I'm not sure what size bodyboard to get. I'm 5ft 6 in- 185 lbs. I currently have the Big Glove Big Tuna 45 inch board which I feel may be too big for me. I'm also looking to spend around $50-70.

Ho brah. You wanna look at something b/t 41-42 inches. It should come up to just a bit past your belly button. You won't get anything quality new at that price though, should be able to get something decent b/t 100-150 dorrar.

I got a morey cruiser 42.5" - not the best, but gets the jobbe done. Plus u can snatch one up for like $65 quid and trick the crap out of it... You'll be boosting in no time

A 45" board for a person your size is definitely to big. Listen to Seldom he knows what he's talking about. If you are serious about bodyboarding you are going to have to spend more money on a decent board. If you don't already use swim fins, I highly recommend them. If your not that serious about bodyboarding then nevermind them.

Alright. Hey guys my name is John. I'm about to be a freshman in college and also am an athlete. I'm looking for advice on bodyboards. I don't do any water sports competitively but only for fun such as when going to the beach in the summer with friends or family. I'm looking for a new board that won't break since my other ones were too small (around 36 inches). If you wanna know anything else just let me know. Thanks in advance for the advice and sorry about not putting a hello thread first.

    ~John

    Dear John,

Welcome to the forum filled with highly competitive, professional water sportsmen.
If you think that 36" is too small and 45" is too big, I'd say try to go for somewhere in between.
If you find that your boards are breaking easily, consider adhering a layer of plywood, the size of your board, to either sides.

Do you herd any animals at leisure? (Preferably cats)

Have you acquaintanced yourself with the prerequisites for becoming a better water sports athlete?

Do you ever forget to bring a towel?

Frost not only is this video pointless but your in no position to be recommending board choices

Why you ax...well the boards you bought and ride after given proper advice from other knowledgeable SI members is all wrong bruh

42.5 for his height and weight..foreals dawg

This dude will obviously suffice without a stringer on a low end board for what he be doing

    a. im guessing the log of hours ive spent bodyboarding don't count for anything?
    b. im also guessing you've been inside my house and have seen each type of bodyboard I ride and or have ridden?
c.42 42.5 is normal size for just about anyone
    d. he says he keeps breaking boards,a stringer helps in reduction of breakeage normally..

finally bro what is your beef with me? I don't get it?but am quite frankly getting pretty tired of your ****
