i hate surfing in the winter. i get excited the first time i use my 5 mil then it just gets annoying. today for instance: i surfed around 9 AM and it wasnt to good. then everytime i duck dove i would get a head ache so i got out from frost bite. then around 3 PM i was going to surf but i had a head ache and didnt want to put a wet wetsuit on so just chilled. if it was summer and we have these waves i would be out for at least 8 hrs. i think every NJ surfer should get a free trip to Costa for surfing this ****!

The ice cream headach goes away after a while . Next time if you plan to go out more than one time a day turn your suit inside out so its dry on the inside and only damp on the outside

that spretty weak man. id rather surf freezing cold nj than being landlocked, for sure. dont take what you have for granted. ice cream headaches suck, and theres nothing like good warm waves. but cold sessions make you grow hair on your chest.

agreed, extremely weak post and topic. we all surf in winter, it blows on super cold days but unique in its own way. its good vibes most of times and less aggro at spots then in summer with barneys and a few locals who think say spring lake is trestles.

you may not be TRYING to be a little b!##h, but you sure are playing the part really well.

if you don't like it, don't surf it. or move. i'm sure the folks in southern california or florida would be stoked to see another face in their line ups. be happy that you don't live in rhode island, mass., maine, or any other place farther north than jersey. they're in wetsuits year round. you think it sucks surfing here in the winter? at least we get decent surf fairly regularly...what if you lived on the great lakes? now those guys are core!!

never thought i'd have to tell a jersey surfer to get a reality check. this is life. it's not fair, but it's a hell of a lot of fun when looked at from the proper perspective.
