You going to be in WB proper or in the area? What do you like to eat?

The waves will probably be a shot in the dark--gotta see what the swell direction and wind are doing.

There are some good Mexican places that taste great after a surf. Check out K-38 Baja grill, Kiva grill, or La Costa.

Erock, I am going to be at Wrightsville, I think access 9 or so, looks like north of the pier. I'm bringing my board just in case. Mex or burger joint, something easy for lunch.

    Thanks DKH76!!

Tower 7 in "Downtown" WB has you covered--same dude that owns K38 and Las Olas. Burgers = PT's at Military Cutoff, on the mainland. Or you could choose from the 1,000 other restaurants in the area depending on where you want to drive. If you want the best Latin food you have ever tasted, go to Los Portales in mid-town off College Rd.

Causeway Cafe for breakfast. Don't go to the Oceanic or Bluewater unless you want to pay too much for mediocre food.

And let's not forget the Mellow Mushroom...

Make sure to visit Britt's Donuts in Carolina Beach before they close down for the off-season. Ask for the "double dip." You won't regret it.

"Britt's Donuts, which has been operating for almost 70 years in Carolina Beach, recently received recognition in MSN City Guides as the second-best doughnut in the nation. The doughnut judging stems from an earlier article by Bret Stetka, a science and medical writer and doughnut aficionado, titled "America's Best Doughnuts". Following that story, Americans spoke out about their favorite sugary delight, clogging message boards with their suggestions. The response to the initial article sparked this sequel - the best independent, small-town doughnut shops in the nation." - Wilmington Star News

If you like burritos then GO TO FLAMING AMY'S!!!! It's on Oleander which is a fairly straight shot from the beach. Kind of near the mall.

Oh BTW, the Sandbar (now known as the Library?) is the best bar in town..........ha!
