Anyone a similar size...short and stocky. I'm 5'7", 165lbs. I'm wondering what is the best fit in Xcel suits for my size. I've seen their size chart and appear to be in between many sized. I'd appreciate a suggestion from anyone who is a similar size and has found a good fit.

P.S. Assume i don't have the luxury of going to a shop to try on a bunch of suits.

usually chart sizes are pretty true to fit. I am 6'0 175 and just bought a large billabong foil '11 5 4 3 and it fits perfect. For your size i would have to say medium cause in my opinion medium small would be too tight and restrictive.

    I'm 5'9" 170 and I'm a LS in Xcel. LS is 5'7" - 5'9" 170 - 175 so I guess they are pretty true to size.

I'm 5'7" and 185, and I wear a XLS in Xcel. You should be fine in a LS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've only owned Oneills and Xcels (fulltime Xcels now), but Xcels usually run smaller and shorter than others, so I would say an LS would be perfect for you too.

5'7, 161. I only buy xcel suits size LS. good fit. 4/3, 5/4. mediums are too tight around the chest, shoulders. Expect that a suit will loosen up over time

    5'8" 160 here...32" waist

My last couple Xcel wetsuit (3/2 infinity and 5/4/3 mm Drylock) have been ML - splits the diff between medium and large and fits perfect.

LS is a bit loose around the waist for me.

    Question

    Hi guys,

So I found a great deal on dogfunk for a 3/2mm Xcel Infiniti drylock for $236. However, the size was LS which I was debating on. The specs for LS on the Xcel website are:

    Height: 5'7" - 5'9"
    Weight: 165-180
    Chest: 41"
    Waist: 34 1/2"

However, I am the following sizes:

    Height: 5'8"
    Weight: 160
    Chest: 40.5"
    Waist: 33"

Now I'm reading a lot of posts on Xcel sizing being either true to size or smaller. I'm hoping it's the latter. The reason I decided to go for LS also was because size M was 39" and waist was 32 1/2". I hope it fits or else I'll be getting another wetsuit. :(

Xcels do run small, I am about 5'6", 140lbs and their S size fits perfectly and snug.

Got my 3/2 suit off dogfunk too, wish I would've known about it last yr, when I bought a lower end xcel 4/3 model for what they're selling the drylock now

Ok guys, I just got the wetsuit. I think it's true that it does run a little smaller. I tried it on and it actually is perfect. The only thing is there is the sleeves are about a inch longer but otherwise everything is great. Thanks for all of your comments. I think getting this suit for only $236 is such a steal. I can't wait to get in the ocean with this thing!

Not everyone is the size of a 14 year old female romanian gymnast. Some of us are actually built like men. Dont be so spiteful.
